Why we created Barn & Bothy

Over the years, guests staying at Oldner Barn often said the same thing: “I wish I could take this feeling home.”

The stillness. The romance. The sense of calm that seems to live in the valley.

Barn & Bothy was born from that wish.

Inspired by Oldner Barn, the Cotswolds, and the ancient Stone of Oldner, we’ve created a small lifestyle brand designed to carry that calm beyond the barn itself.

Our first premium line, The Lover’s Vigil, is rooted in an old local legend a story of love, promise, and the quiet tranquillity said to have settled over Oldner Valley.

This is the beginning of something gentle, thoughtful, and deeply connected to this place.
